Easter Brunch, if I could rate the food alone, it would be slightly higher. Here is a review for the staff that was so rude and assumed you knew everything upon arriving to a place you have never been to. The older gentleman seating people was wonderful as was the woman working the bar. We try restaurants throughout Geneva where we have lived for 40 plus years and always like to explore something new and never have we met staff like this. If I could give them a zero, I would. They even had a woman inspecting played after they were removed from the table to see what you left! At 50.00 a person. Try many of the other locations in Geneva for Mother's Day.
Once again, I'm absolutely impressed with this B&B. NINA is one of the MOST gracious hosts. The grounds are in impeccable shape. If you want a posh experience at a a very affordable price, please stop by!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Oscar Swan Inn. Miss Nina and her helper, John, were extremely hospitable. The inn was built in 1902 so expect some quirkiness. We stayed in the room called Oscars Hideaway. The bathroom is floor to ceiling original green tile and it is beautiful! Loved it! There are a lot of older details throughout the home, such as original hardwoods, windows, antique furniture, paintings, books, etc. We love this type of historical ambiance and enjoyed looking at everything from the old French sink and large ficus tree in the conservatory room to the National Geographic collection in the foyer...nThis is not the type of place you stay because you like perfection. This is the type of place you stay because you like an experience. The food was delicious and served beautifully on the out door patio (a breakfast date ❤ufe0f). The pool was crystal clear and refreshing (not heated but warm enough for this season). The grounds are a bit over grown but still beautiful. Miss Nina lost her husband in March, and we are empathetic.nPros: experience an older/historic style of life, delicious food, beautiful grounds, quiet environment, peaceful, outdoor pool, low tech environment,nCons: Two outlets per room (not for us but some might consider this a negative), low TV channel availability (again, not for us but for some), old plumbing (VERY slow draining tub), noisy when other guests shut their room doors, not as much privacy as a hotel (we are prepared for this, but others may not be), not spotless (more like staying at a family members home than a hotel/motel)nOverall, great! We hope to stay again!!!
Beautiful old mansion and property turned into a bed and breakfast & event center. We stayed 1 night in Oscar's Hideaway.nWe love history and rich, homey ambiance, so it was perfect in those regards. There were some cobwebs here and there, maybe some dust, and odds and ends in surprising places but that makes it more like a home and less like a hotel.nThe pool was clean and fresh (not heated, FYI).nThe food was tasty and served to us beautifully no outdoors on the patio. Even a scrumptious slice of chocolate cake before we left at noon.nSlept really well in the comfy king size bed.nThings to note: old homes are quirky. The beautiful original hardwood floors are creaky, doors slam shut when you want them to stay open OR stay open when you want them to swing shut, shutters and blinds not modern curtains, fewer outlets than we are used to, and plumbing that sometimes requires 2 flushes...nHostess (Nina) was hospitable and kind, recommended a lovely Italian place for dinner.nOne missing piece for us was that we wish there were more photos of/info about the original two families that owned the property.
Very enjoyable, fall in love with the so many attractive vintage decorations books furniture colors , old French sink , oh my God ! it’s gorgeous everything ,and the beautiful garden beautiful flowers , the swimming pool and I love the food ! food is so delicious it’s served beautifully ! what a wonderful experience today! I definitely will come back to stay overnight here, and thanks so much for owner Miss Nina to introduce information to me .
