It was a great stay for the price. The location makes it super easy to get into downtown Galena. As well as it is a straight shot to Dubuque (20 mins) were there was a mall, hiking and a museum. Unfortunately hot tub was out of service, breakfast was limited and the in unit whirlpool was not functioning properly. Overall, not bad for price in comparison to others in area.

Nice place and great deck. Would give 5 stars but had to push numbers in TV remote. Channels were not preprogrammed. Inconvenient.

A bit older and in need of some TLC. The cigarette smell in the hallway just about made us ask for a refund. Our room didn't smell of smoke. Things felt worn but it was clean. The bed wasn't great. The staff was good. The remote didn't fully work. Just a bit underwhelming. Some of the trim areas were falling apart. If I'm ever in town again I'll probably go somewhere else. Didn't try the breakfast.

This hotel is cozy. We had a room with 2 queen beds and it was fairly large, with space for a good sized desk as well as a sofabed. There was also a balcony, which was great to sit outside in the evening just before sunset. Mini-fridge and microwave are also included as well as a coffeemaker for your convenience. Free breakfast is provided to save you time and money as well as the ability to enjoy it in your room if you like. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Be sure to join Best Western Rewards if you are not already a member and book online for low rates. If you stay frequently enough, you get even more bonus points to put toward free nights. I just so happened to have enough points to book 5 free nights at this hotel, so that is a good value.

We had the jacuzzi room, it was awesome. Loved awesome price for the room. Close to downtown Galena too.
