Just wrapped up a wonderful weekend in Galena, and Joe and the Brierwreath were a big part of what made it so great. Joe is a great host and makes delicious breakfast. The location of the b&b is ideal for spending the weekend downtown. We parked on the off-street parking and never drove again until it was time to check out. Recommend staying here is you're looking for a reasonably-priced, well-located, clean b&b.
Joe was the best host! What a lovely piece of history he has in Brierwreath! Our room was great, full of history filled with some beautiful antiques. It was clean and quiet. The breakfast he prepared was delicious! Galena is such a wonderful town and Joe's Brierwreath is a beautiful place to stay! We will be back.
CLEAN and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Joe takes pride in his work and is a really good communicator. He keeps his place very clean and tidy. I have dust and seasonal allergies but no sneezing happened in this place. :D It is very close to DOWNTOWN Galena and plenty of restaurants nearby.nnJoe made an anniversary package available which included flowers, local chocolates, and handmade mugs. This made our anniversary weekend special and my husband was surprised. The breakfast and the homemade cookies were yummy. I would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely wonderful. Joe is the most gracious host for your stay here. He prepares a wonderful breakfast in the morning, maintains a clean and lovely in, and even provides a jar of freshly baked cookies upon your arrival. We will stay here anytime we're in Galena!
Truly enjoyed our stay at Brierwreath Manor. It was cozy and clean. Joe prepared a wonderful breakfast and even delivered chocolate chip cookies to our room. We would definitely stay there again!
