As a girl from Ohio, I'm used to nature trails and now that I live in Chicago, I don't really get that experience. It was refreshing to walk the trails at the forest preserve and feel like I was back home. We even saw a deer which made the experience even that much more enjoyable. Simple family fun.
There's a toilet here. It's a great place to park and ride or stop and have a snack.
Enjoyed a long run, nice place for a run or walk
We really like the bridal trail heading south from here to golf road. Particular during the week day. Don't know anything about the picnic area.
