I've never met a library I didn't like but the Wilmette Public Library is exceptional. It's been a lifesaver during the pandemic. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. And of course there are books and s wonderful movie and TV shows that are great for binge watching.

You are safe from virus at the (W.)ilmette (P.)ublic (L.)ibrary!nnFew patrons are presently in the library. Many staff will assist you in circultation, reference and virtual participation.nnI used the Technology center for microcomputer tasks. My time was limited to 65 minutes. I accessed the I.D.E.S, Gmail, Facebook and the New York Times online.nnI could rent movies, books, d.v.d.s, and read periodicals.nnGet a patron's card and enjoy all of the above for free or more for modest fees. If you have a card that is from a member of the North Suburban Library System, you can extend your privileges to the W.P.L.nnI'll see you there!
The library itself is amazing, plenty of books, audio books, and movies to find. There are conference rooms and foreign language rooms. Only complaint is that one employee refused to let my significant other and I read books while sitting next to each other.
Poor customer service, implicit bias problem, and lack of diversity.
