Sioux City Child Support Recovery Unit

It takes a week for me to get the child support from when they get it and it is all electronic. When I call I have to leave a message and no one returns my calls. This is a very sad system.

None of these people return phone calls. Unnecessary rude.

Not willing to work with anyone.

I have never had a pleasant experience dealing with the local office here in town. They do not treat you with any respect, and are unnecessarily rude and are not above favoritism by any means. I’ll describe just my most recent experience, that is still unresolved with no indication that it ever will be until I manage to find a competent employee or otherwise circumvent the situation or somehow escalate the issue with someone “higher up” than the hateful receptionist they have working the window. I could write a novel on how terrible and even anusive this women is, not only does she not have the basic skills you would think that one should have to manage even the simplest of tasks required, like being friendly or at a bare minimum have the composure to treat people with respect and or dignity without devolving to the point of being willfully crass and purposefully do anything within her power to do exactly the opposite of what you needed her to do... she will even curse at you and insult you she has no problems with announcing very personal private and proprietary information out loud to whom ever happens to be in the room at time. She needs fired, she deserves to have criminal charges brought up against her and yes, I fully standby that statement and am making it with a level head and not just saying so as an emotional reaction; this lady abuses the power she is given to the fullest extent possible. I have not just one but MANY Eexemptions from being a candidate for having my license suspended and have attempted all the right avenues and courses of action required of me to satisfy and to have gotten the sanction lifted; that never should have been put on my license in the first place; the laws and rules and requirements are easy to find and learn and not even in the slightest has my experience been close to being played out how they are legally supposed to of. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING I AM SUPPOSED TO HAVE DONE; SATISFIED EVERYTHING AND THEY CLAIM THAT THE SANCTIONS ARE LIFTED AND WHEN I GO TO THE DMV THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT; BY ALL MEANS SHOULD LEGALLY HAVE MY LICENSE BACK AND FOR THAT MATTER NEVER OF TAKEN IN THE FIRST PLACE; AND DESPITE THE CLAIM THAT THEY HAVE FUNCTIONALLY LIFTED ANY AND ALL SANCTIONS OR PUNISHMENTS OR REVOCATION OF MY RIGHTS I HAVE NOW HAD TWO INCIDENTS WHERE I HAVE BEEN FORCED IN TO A JAIL CELL FOR DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE! NOT TO MENTION THE FINES AND THE FACT THAT ITS ON MY RECORD AND JUST INVITES MORE AND MORE UNDESERVED HARDSHIP IN TO MY LIFE! What happens when I try to get my license? They tell me to contact Child support recovery to get the sanctions lifted so then I do they claim all sanctions are lifted even give me a letter saying so but upon returning to the dmv to get it back the workers at the dmv say that it is still not lifted and that I am at CRSU’s complete and utter mercy, they say that despite having the letter directly from child support recovery that’s states all sanctions have been lifted that they in fact have not been and print off evidence showing just that for me to take back to CSRU and I do so only to again hear that they have lifted everything and they CAN NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME! They offer no contract numbers and in fact refuse to give me any or to talk to a superior at the threat that police are going to called if I do not leave the premises. I did not yell, I was and am very upset yet I completely composed myself as any reasonable decent person would be expected to. I am at my wits end here and legal aid refuses to help... I don’t know what to do. I’m still risking jail time everyday; I have to drive I live in my van now! And when I got my unemployment case finally won after over a year fighting my case guess where all the backed pay went??? Child support recovery took it, and now my ex has gotten a lawyer with my money to attempt to take all my custodial rights after all I am IN AND OUT OF JAIL(100% because of child support recovery) and can’t afford my own place, the money I had left I used to buy the van I can not legally drive!Very open to advice, please help!
