Nice location can't wait to get back and enjoy it in warmer weather
The history about this dam,and area is a bookful of awesome information that I never knew. This dam enabled inland water way travel that we take for granted. It is breathtaking to see.Its a must for everyone.
The overlook was kind of neat...good place to get a view of the dam from a higher than normal vantage point. Only gave one star due to the fact that the visitor center was closed despite the fact that the TVA website said it was open to the public.nnI went and took a tour of the turbine hall and visitor center when i was young, and was looking forward to sharing the experience with my children.
The visitor center has been closed permanently. There is an overlooked which is pretty nice.
Open to the Public...Free! Decent info, great views.
