Palomino Self Storage Stor-4-Less

If you are considering using their outdoor storage, be forewarned: your belongings may be susceptible to vermin. I stored my college essentials in their outdoor storage for three months over the summer, and even though the unit had been securely locked, when I returned to the facility yesterday to move into my dorm, there were mice droppings everywhere (there weren’t any droppings when we first put my stuff in the unit). Thankfully, we didn’t see any mice crawling around, but I assume it was mice because something had chewed a big hole in my plastic vacuum bag. And when we went through my clothes that were in there, we found more droppings and a bunch of loose threads, and a great deal of my clothes were tattered and had big holes chewed through them. Moreover the inside of the bag smelled like death, and because a lot of my clothes were so tattered, I had to throw a lot of my clothes away.nnIn retrospect, I wish I had stored my clothes in plastic bins instead of a plastic bag, but I unfortunately didn’t anticipate this would be a problem, as we’d had no issues with vermin two years before when we’d used Palomino’s indoor storage facility. However, if you want to avoid having your clothes ruined by mice, I recommend using plastic bins instead of bags.nnOtherwise, I have no complaints about this place, and I would recommend it—the people were friendly and helpful, and the facility was very accessible.
