I had an appointment with Dr. Waxman to look at my left hip. he was my 2nd opinion. first Dr. said that I had bone on bone in my left. Dr. Waxman said that I did not . so now I am not sure what to think. He preferred not to operate , but told me to live with the pain. I have been living with the pain for over 4 years. Very non compassionate. So I consulted a third Dr. This new Dr. looked at my x ray and with in a minute he saw that I damage my hip when I was 13 years old and I moved my growth plate in my hip and it is bone on bone and full of arthritis, and has been in the wrong position ever since. I am now 52 years old. By the way I feel out of the rear of a truck and landed on my left hip when I was 13. End result I would say far away from Dr. Waxman he lied to me and even said that he my consult other doctors who are more up to date with new procedures. Not what you wont to hear form any doctor. He should be up to date, I would thank. End result stay away for Dr. Waxman!!!!

I had a total knee replacement (TKR) by Dr. Waxman at UHC 11 days ago and have been walking without a walker or cane since day 6. This is my second knee replacement, the first not by Dr. Waxman, and my experiences couldn’t be more different. My surgery was late in the day on Tuesday, and early Wednesday morning physical therapy had me up and walking with a walker. I was able to move the entire length of the hallway outside of patient rooms twice. Later that day with supervision of physical therapy I walked the loop of the patient rooms on 5 south. Went home on Thursday, two days after surgery and continued therapy.nnI can’t say enough good things about Dr. Waxman and his staff. He pays attention to small details that matter most to the patient. His high expectations from his staff benefit his patients and their quick recovery. Truthfully, I was very much dreading this surgery and put it off as long as possible. But my experience with Dr. Waxman makes me regret that I didn’t take my life back with TKR a long time ago. I highly recommend Dr. Waxman and his very professional staff!
