Dr. John H. Mani, MD

I was referred to this doctor by my family doctor so I looked them up and the reviews were good. I remembered my wife visited them for a issue which they never fixed or treated. We went to another doctor in Huntington to finally figure out what was wrong with her. I had to contact them after my referral was sent but that wasn't a big deal. When they were contacted I couldn't get an appointment for a month and a half. I had to revisit my family doctor because of the pain I was in. I contacted Dr. Mani and Hannah's office to see if there was any cancelations or opens, which there wasn't. Finally I was seen a month and half later. I was diagnosed by my symptoms which was understandable and was asked to come back in 30 days. I revisited in 30 days and I informed them that I was still not feeling well and everything was the same. I was actually worse because the medication was keeping me from using the bathroom. Their answer was for me to take more medication based on my symptoms again. The medication was free samples which they gave me 30 more days to take. At this point I was thinking, why aren't they trying to actually figure out why I'm sick and just giving me more medication that may or may not work just based off my symptoms? The doctor said to me, try this and see if you feel better... not lets actually figure out what's wrong with you, you've been sick for the last 8 months and we want to help. I asked questions and they were answered very generic and vaguely. I felt very rushed out of the office that day with a bag of free medication that I didn't really feel a reason to take. When I was told to come back in 30 days I couldn't get off work on that day and I asked to reschedule my visit I was told that there wasn't a opening for another 30 days so that will make almost another 60 days until I could see them again. They may be great doctors I don't really know. I do know that at that office you are just a number and over all don't care. I made a follow up appointment but in that 30 days I have plenty of time of shop for a new doctor who will see me.

Dr. Mani is a terrific doctor. He listens actively and carefully, is never rushed, and then explains with common English whatever needs to be told to the patient. In fact, while I hope he never gives up his practice until I'm long gone, he would make a great medical school professor just to tell future doctors how to interact with patients. He's that good.nnFrankly, it's admittedly a bit awkward for us men to see a urologist, but Dr. Manni makes it as seamless and comfortable as can be. I asked questions that I had had my whole life, and he answered all calmly, clear-headedly, professionally, and fully.nnIf there were ten stars, I'd give them all to Dr. Mani. Obviously, I highly recommend him.

My second time with Dr. Mani and Dr. Hannah. They are great Doctors. Treat with respect and care. Thank you and your staff.

My grandfather went in for Foley change. He came out filling his cath bag with blood. Now this doctor's office is giving us the run around and refusing to tell the doctor we called. We even had my grandfather's general practitioner call and they basically hung up on a fellow doctor. We are calling malpractice attorneys and now headed to the ER with my grandfather.

A great doctor and surgeon at Kanawha Urology. He is direct when it comes to explaining medical questions.
