Texas Highway Patrol

I went there today to get my husband a Texas drivers license. Simple you would think as he holds a valid different state drivers license.. Well on our first attempt I failed to bring his birth certificate so we return an hour later with the document. Pick our number as they were working swiftly which is always a plus but the second clerk ( pick a number ) firstly, started raising issues with his ss card and I said ma'am this is his original ss card. My husband is now 66 years old, then I further stated it was good enough for my husband to go to Vietnam with but not to obtain a Texas drivers license.. How odd and rudenSo she explains the policy, we move onto another acceptable form he just so happened to have ,nNow here is the additional kick in our face;nWe live in a rv , we pay all our utilities by our lot rent in this rv park. So this is our only bill this lot receipt.. We have two vehicles licensed and fully insured with Texas registration and plates using this same address but our residential rv park lot receipt was not sufficient proof of a residence.nSo having said all this, I wanted to scream because the moral to this is (our clerk conferred with whomever at another DMV location) returned to her station and told us this was not a bill to prove residency..nHow odd is this as I , this marine veterans wife recieved hers using these very same documents to obtain my Texas drivers license!!'nHow rude I say to this office!nShame on you !!nnVery disappointed Vietnam Veterans wife,nThelma DolmagenYou have my drivers license number for you issued it!
