TL;DR- don't log in to appeal, appeal via email. I got an email notice for parking to change my 22 month old son on 10/1/19; the notice told me to log in to review or appeal. So I logged in that night, and again on 10/7/19, and the violation was nowhere to be found. I figured someone reviewed the pics and cleared it. Fast forward 4 months, and I just got a past-due balance. Just trickery to get more money from people, as the Parking department runs (you know, buys themselves goodies?) on these violations. They have a vested interest in making things hard for people.
i got a citation after being guaranteed that i wouldn’t be given one until i finished my hall transfer and i’ve been trying to call them to talk about it all morning. tell me why i get the voicemail every time i call and i still need them to move my epermit over because if i get issued another citation, i’m gonna lose it.
Got a citation for parking a centimeter over the lines and for parking over the holidays when I work here. Tried to appeal, they showed no sympathy and absolute rudeness. Sent an email and they were quick to shoot me down. I pay THOUSANDS of dollars to attend here and will be transferring solely because of the parking situation.
Got two citations during graduation. Nobody cares. The lot had no signage. Charged a relative for 1) not having a permit and 2) not having a permit but worded differently for more money. A grand total of $70 to attend graduation. SHSU charges professors even more for parking. Sort your situation out! Great school otherwise, but abhorrent parking policies.
I got 3 citations without even knowing and then I try to pay online and keeps saying error. I call but they say try again tomorrow. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!
