I love this building! Since the building is still relatively new, the technology and the layout of the building is up-to-date. I think it's a perfect place to study whether you are looking for a quiet area or a place to collaborate. I have studied outside in the front of the building where there are shaded areas as well as more sun-lit spots. I have also tried my hand at sitting indoors, and although it can get a bit loud, the atmosphere is still amicable. Another perk is that there is a small cafe on the inside. Not exactly the most student friendly prices, but great for a pick-me-up or when you're running late to that 8AM course. Also, if you are a comm student, the waiting area for advising is also pretty cozy. It’s standard but the multiple chairs and few tables make it easy for me to find a spot to myself so that I can just do homework until I am called in. Overall, I would recommend stopping by this building, whether it is to study, check out the high-tech computer labs, catch a quick snack, or just to tour the architecture of the building. I promise you won’t be disappointed with your decision!

I work for the Knight Center for Journalism in the Américas which is located in this beautiful building. This building is an amazing place to work and call my second home.nnThe Knight Center for Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin is a professional training and outreach program for journalists in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our training programs have benefited thousands of journalists and journalism professors throughout the Americas.

The Belo center is one of the newest, nicest buildings on campus. All the latest tech in the classrooms, with a little cafe on the ground floor. I just wish there was a vending machine for after-hours snacks.
