Really good, counter attendant accidentally swapped a light sweetness for a regular on our drinks, they did not have pork or brisket bao which was really disheartening. The cheesecake bao needed a sauce of some sort, really was missing the sauce to make the bao pop as a dessert. Pork belly kimchi fried rice was overly salty but still pretty tasty. Salad was very good with house dressing. Some sort of sweet and tangy asian influenced dressing. Would recommend just hope they have everything when you go and some small changes will be made.
The customer service was horrible. There was no communication, we called 5 mins before going asking if boba was available and they confirmed. We ordered and then after waiting for 45 mins for our food, we were informed the machine broke. But we found this out because another girl was waiting for the same time only to get informed her entire order was cancelled. The workers did not let anyone know the status and made for an incredibly frustrating first time (and last time) here.
Food tasted great! The service was pleasant and speedy. I thought the meet was lacking. I would have loved more meat in the meal.
Bao'd Up was a very nice first experience for me. We got the family pk to have a variety of selection and every single item was pleasing to my palette. I will add this establishment to my top places to dine when visiting my daughter at UT Austin. The tea was the bomb! Thanks for a wonderful experience!
The times I've been here the Bao have been pretty good, I especially love the egg custard bao. Overall its not a bad place to snack at
