This road side area is right after you cross over from Louisiana into Texas. You have to be quick though! Ha! While crossing the bridge from Louisiana to Texas get into the far right lane because when the bridge ends there’s the exit to go to the road side area. They have nice restrooms, vending machines and a travel/information center. There are walkways built above ground so you can stretch your legs and see some amazing scenery, too. As always, the area is pet and family friendly. Even when I travel alone I feel quite safe stopping at this site. And, I am always happy to see that sign because I know I am back home in my native Texas. ♥ufe0f

This is the rest stop coming from Louisiana. The restrooms could use an update, but it’s fine. It’s a great place to stop and stretch your legs on a road trip. They have excellent lighting and security.

This is a very nice rest area. Very well kept . Clean and nice visitor bureau. They have a board walk that takes out in the marsh. It's a good place to take a break and a look

Excellent way to get a picture with the welcome sign when it’s so difficult and dangerous to get to Louisiana’s. We enjoyed our time here but prefer buc-ee’s for our bathroom breaks.
