Outstanding group of men and women serving our small community. They are a completely volunteer force that the city should be very proud of. I am glad to assist them in any manner possible. I helped hold the landscaping event and there was not one single person ignored or turned away.
Our volunteer fire department is some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They work so hard to keep us safe! They work tirelessly for no pay on a budget formed from by donations. These men and women give so much for this community and we are so lucky to have them!!
I was at the fundraiser and beautification project by the COK on Saturday. They did an excellent job. At no time anybody was disrespected or ignored. In fact everybody that was there was having a good time.
I was at the volunteer event myself, taking photos for the event. Photos tell the truth. Race wasn’t an issue at the event. Everyone that was there, kids included, were helping or enjoying community fellowship. Some just came out to eat lunch and spend some family time. That’s absolutely fantastic! Some stopped by to buy raffle tickets only. That’s absolutely fantastic too! Now, outside of that, the event wasn’t hosted by KVFD. So the ratings for the event are misplaced. I will say while at the event, we got to see the KVFD load up and head to a fire. They were gone for 10 hours fighting a fire... AS A VOLUNTEER FORCE. Thank you to citizens that give their time, energy, and risk their safety for our community! ⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f
