This place is fun! No shade so bring sun blofk or stay in your car. Some people were saying that Terminal E parking garage is better. That's not true. We tried it.
Free and Official Airport Planespotting lot, with portable restrooms, it's tended by airport maintenance, and is a great place to watch the planes take off directly overhead. V1 and Rotation (commitment speed and liftoff) about a football field away. Sun can be blinding in the evening
Love this place!! Great for spotting aircraft and seeing them pretty close!!
This is the only “official” IAH sporting area, but there are multiple other places to go. It is a nice place to bring kids, but there are no real heavies that land on 27, lots of regionals. Great for kids because it isn’t that loud. If you want real spotting, then go to the parking garage of terminal E.
Great place to spend some time watching planes land. The place has too many puddles and the parking lot is very uneven. During rain I guess this would be a very messy place, and a car wash might be necessary.
