Klein was supportive from the start of a very emotional experience. Reid was helpful in guiding us through each step that was required even prior to picking up our family member, and then through the entire process. He made suggestions which proved helpful and time saving. Honestly, I can't recommend them enough.

Terrible place ,very unorganized. Had my little sister’s funeral here . No one was organized and there was way more than 10 people due to the virus . Then when we got to the cemetery nothing was ready. Worse place ever !

Biggest con artist in history of funeral homes. Stay far away!

So in addition, the funeral home declined to cremate even though the state granted a permit with a document that he signed but that he refused to sign. Hmmm! Keep in mind that once they presented a falsified document to the state and the state granted a permit, they tied my hands because at that point I could not transfer her body to another funeral home. I was advised by two other directors at separate FHs that they would have taken her up until the point that Klien was granted the permit. Then it could take 6 to 10 weeks to transfer that permit to another FH. I was then asked how they got the permit from the state without a fully executed authorization form (with the sons signature) if the son had declined???? Because in order to obtain the permit to cremate the authorization form must be sent with it. He either forged or denied that he had any knowledge of the brother .nI was told by the Head funeral Director at Klein in Tomball my only option at this point was to bury her. And out of the kindness of the Klien's Family they would intern her for the same cost as the signed contract of $1900. Ummm! I told him that made me suspicious because why would they incur the cost if they had not done something wrong. He denied any wrongful acts and advised that there was a procedure in place when families had these sort of issues. Really? But he did tell me that I was welcome to find a lawyer as well. Now we 12 days out and I had been told by the other funeral homes it would take 6 to 10 weeks to even transfer the permit. And in the cremation contract I signed they advise that after two weeks they can charge you $100 per day for refrigeration. At the least it would be $4,300 or if it took the full 10 weeks another $7,000 storage fees. And at this point I had no doubt they would impose those fees if I pursued those avenues. So I verbally agreed to bury her. However this man did not advise me that a coffin would not be provided nor gave me a chance to pay for one. I arrived at the grave side to find my best friends looking like their mothers had just passed too. When I glanced at what should have been a coffin, my mother was in a box that is used in the cremation process. Press board with a 1x2 frame. I have bought appliances in better boxes than these people thought it was just fine laying my mother to rest in. I was so upset I couldnt even stay. I had to walk away because my desire was to push the funeral director in the hole they had dug for my mom. I had just been through the hardest two weeks of my life and they assumed it was ok to bury my mother against her wishes in a cardboard box. You would now assume since I had not signed a contract for burial at that time and I walked away before I lost my composure that they would have wheeled her back into the funeral home until they had a signed contract for burial. Um, no they buried her anyway. So if you are thinking of using these heartless people, remember the more you pay them the more they will make you feel like they are concerned for your loved one. Their level of service should be stated on a brochure somewhere as 0 - $2000, you do the legwork, we dig the hole and give u a cardboard box. Oh and they go in with whatever they came to us in. We won't even give you the option to change her out of the hospital gown she had worn for 14 days! I never told these people I didnt have the money to INTERN my mother, I just made the arrangements as per her wishes! Not everyone who cremates their loved ones does it because they cannot afford burial. This was her way to get them back to their son without putting them or I in debt.nnIf you think for one minute these people care about you, well maybe, if you are shelling out thousands of dollars.

Klein in Tomball made so many unethical choices I don't know where to begin. My father passed away 2 years ago and my family and I turned to Klien in Tomball. The wishes were that both my parents ultimately be cremated and transported to a family cemetery in LA were my brother and grandparents are buried. Instead of incurring the cost to ship two bodies at separate times, we opted for cremation. With my mother's approval the necessary documents required for the state to provide a permit were signed by two immediate family members, my mother and I as my father's only legal heir. Everything went according to plan. My mother even expressed her wishes to the Director that handled my father's onboarding process. While I was in the restroom my mother divulged to the director that she had another living child by another husband. What she didnt tell him was that he was in prison for life and they had been estranged for many years due to the nature of his incarceration and that he disrespected her as a mother. Frankly, we are very embarrassed about the situation and we really try to avoid the conversations surrounding his incarceration. My mother was not to blame for her 52 year old son's poor choices.nnMy mother passed on saturday, April 13th. On Monday I met with Tom Larkin in Tomball. I had already called them to advise that they had handled my dad and we wanted for them to carbon copy what they did for my dad, for my mom. They took possession of the body on Saturday the 13th. During my meeting with Tom, for which I had to attend alone, and after being at the hospital with her since Thursday evening without any true sleep for several days, he advised me that he knew she had another child (called him by name) and that the state of Texas required that we both sign a document approving the cremation and it had to go to the state in order to obtain the permit to cremate her. And here it all begins. I advised Tom that I would call the chaplain ahead of him sending the documents to the prison out of common courtesy to notify her son of her death. So after I left the meeting I did just that. A couple of days later the prison chaplain advised me he notified her son of her death, that he took it well and had no further questions. He advised he received the document that he needed to have the prisoner sign 10 minutes after speaking with him and he would be taking the documents to him the next day. That was April 17th. On April 22nd, 9 days after her passing and only one day away from the state required 10 day window, they started the application process for the death certificate. They first sent it to the wrong hospital, not the one she died at and not the one were they picked up her body. Then they sent it to some dr I was unfamiliar with who declined to sign as well. They should have then picked up the phone and called the hospital to find the appropriate avenue, but instead they called me and asked me to figure out their issue for them. Although I did not feel like this was ethical I called the hospital and spoke with the administrator and she very quickly responded. She advised she would call the funeral home and straighten out the problem. Since I had used my bereavement time I had to return to work that same day and between losing my mom, my last immediate family member ( both parents and one sibling) and it being a very traumatic situation how it all went down, i was also very overwhelmed with having been out of the office for over a week. On April 23rd Tom Larkin called me and advised that he had not heard back from the prison but he was following up. At that point, I was completely overwhelmed and had to hand things over to my daughter to try and make sense of what was going on as we are now 10 days from death. So my daughter finally reached the warden who put her in contact with the Head chaplain.Who refused to sign until he saw a Will! The problem is the state received a fully executed document with his signature because they granted a permit to cremate. Hmm who signed for the son?
