I went to court today at 8am to enter a plea of Not Guilty. The prosecutor calls me up and immediately starts to sweet talk me so I knew then it was no case against me. He insists I plea no contest with a reduced fine. I ask if Not Guilty a plea option because after I said more than once I want to plea Not Guilty he repeatedly says he wants to keep it off my record. I said I do not care about going to trial or anything else that comes with it MY ONLY PLEA IS NOT GUILTY. He then tells me No Contest is the same as Not Guilty. I'm a Criminal Justice major so he blatantly lied in my face and is abusing his power. I do not pay tickets whatsoever. My case should have been dismissed and he knows it. I believe the city of Farmers Branch wasn't making money due to this pandemic and of course the power outages throughout Texas so any money they can get is beneficial...but guilty or not I do not pay tickets at allnI threw the paper into the trash and exited the building. I'll return to speak to someone else about my plea or wait til it hit warrant status to be arrested. He needs to be fired I can't imagine how many other ppl he tried conning to pay fines due to lack of evidence! This won't be the last of me
