Amazing place, very gorgeous, a very big selection of birds you can spot. Baby Alligater was so cute and very calm, you could tell he or she was used to humans, but If you got to close it would shoot off into the water. But if you went back later he would be back in the same spot.

Great organization helping birds. Has Hummingbird Xtravaganza each fall. Bird banding open to public monthly. Trails for watching birds and wildlife. Library. Books and plants for sale at times. Beautiful setting.

If you’ve into birding this is a great place. Plenty of info on local birding location. They have talks and demonstrations frequently including live bird banding the third Saturday of each month. There’s also a native plant nursery on site with a wide selection of locally grown plants.

Attended the August banding event, and had a great time learning about the banding process and the birds, and meeting folks who appreciate birds! I definitely plan to visit again (but more likely during a cooler/migration time of year to see a greater variety of birds).
