When I went to the business to complain I was not listed as spouse, they placed the blame on the funeral home. I went twice to explain I was the spouse with nothing else done. This is almost 7 months later, and I am just now learning the truth after I filed a complaint with the Texas Funeral Service Commission. Wichita Falls Embalming Service has been deceitful, placing blame on others, when in fact they were deceitful, and added unnecessary pain to a grieving widow. Even as of today when I called they were still deceitful. It took an out of state funeral home to figure where the decption came from - Wichita Falls Embalming Service.
The lady who picked up my husband was very courteous, compassionate, and kind. When I went to the business to complain I was not listed as spouse, they remained very professional, explaining why I was not listed as spouse. I went twice to explain I was the spouse with nothing else done. In the months following, they have been very uncooperative, and the director tried to hide he was the funeral director. I reported them to the Texas Funeral Commission.
Insensitive/rude - My mother passed away 6/3/20. They came out to pick her up. My sister was inquiring what she needed to send with mom. The lady was so insensitive and flat stupid and answered that “she wouldn’t be doing any walking so she didn’t need shoes.” My mom had just died! How unprofessional!! We were in disbelief that she would say something like that at a time like that.
