Jordan Valley Medical Center West Valley Campus

I am absolutely appalled by the staff at this Hospital and did request to speak to the director. as I was waiting for her my fiance who is epileptic having multiple seizures landing him at the hospital. Walked out of the ICU unit. Frustrated Due to the tech's lack of training and communication while giving him a MRI. A nurse told me he was by the elevator and other nurses were talking to him. Next thing I know security was called to the main floor I asked one of the nurses if he was okay. She said she was not sure because she was not down there. The elevator was locked I was unable to go see for myself. The call for security was lifted the nurses walk back without him. I ask where he is I was told he took off running down the street. I of course in a panic grab my stuff to go find him. After spending 30 mins driving around looking for him I find him, He informed me he did not at all run yet they followed him watched him walk to our car get in grab some stuff and then followed him off the property. Seems they just didn't want to have to care for him any longer. That is a brief of the shocking lack of communication and care coming from the staff here. I also had to call his Insurance and do the admitting clerks job for her because she would not listen to the info I gave. Guess she thought I needed the extra stress on top of the lack of sleep and amount of stress I had already. The entire time we were there from 9 pm Wednesday to about 5pm Thursday my fiance was not offered any food. They did allow him some water with medication. There was no medical need for him to not have food!! Not once did his day nurse give me information I finally had to request to have her come speak to me. I am making this brief because there is so much more I could add it is scary. Please for the safety and well being of yourself and loved one's go to a different medical facility to make sure they get the proper care. I have worked in a hospital and I can't believe the disregard the staff has here. I wish I would have had a choice of where the paramedic were taking him. Very thankful I found him in one piece and not having a seizure on the side of the road.

I came in for a day surgery to get a hernia mesh. I was in and out before I knew it. Very courteous staff. Receptive to all my needs and very professional! Thank you for your service!!

Many experiences here that are not good at all. Very bad customer service. The rooms are dirty. My brother came in with blood in his stool and stomach cramping. He told the doctor it was worse the night before but he's scared and the doctor told him, "This is an emergency room for emergencies". He then was being very rude when asking about his family history. My brother has a mental disability and the doctor was just right out rude to my brother because he didn't know and I did. After that doctor left for the night they Had my brother stay over night to get his appendix out. So to the doctor that told my brother that the emergency room is for emergencies guess what a hole it was an emergency and I hope you change the way you treat people. That's not okay.

This is the worst hospital I have seen. My wife came into ER and was treated like a 3rd class. My Daughter just took her boyfriend there for his ankle. They were not at all careful even though it was obvious it was swollen and hurting. Then the dr didn't sign the prescription. When they call about it they were confronted with the nurse from hell. Rude and actually said if you don't like it go somewhere else. I suggest everyone take her advice and go somewhere else.

The staff in this hospital does not communicate. The leadership should evaluate their testing process. We received a phone call the same day to get a COVID-19 test prior to a procedure In the next 3 days. We were told that the test must be done today ( the day we got the phone call). We were sent to the Jordan Valley Hospital in West Jordan for the test. The drive thru hours are 9 am to 4 pm. We got there at 2:58pm and they closed the line. We were told that they closed at 4 pm but since the line is so long they are not allowing more people in and that we need to walk into the out patient departments to get tested. We did that but was told to come back to the drive thru. I told the receptionist the situation and he made me wait on the side while he help other patients first. More and more people kept walking in while we waited. Eventually I vocalized my frustration to the receptionist on why are we being pushed aside when we are here first. We ended up leaving the hospital with no COVID-19 test done. I’ve been to two other COVID-19 test sites, the University hospital and Intermountain hospital process was seamless. The test time was less than 5 minutes after a 10 minutes wait. There were the amount of cars in the drive thru lanes as Jordan Valleys. . Jordan Valley Hospital test time is 15 minutes per car after your 2 hours wait time. Unfortunately we had to come to Jordan Vally because of uncontrolled circumstances. Going forward, I will do everything in my power to never come to this hospital again.
