Dental Care at Pleasant Hill

We've recently changed insurance, and I found this provider through my insurance website. My appointment here was a mixed experience.nnUpon arriving, the receptionists were not especially welcoming. To clarify, no one was rude, but they did not put out an especially warm vibe, either. Also, there was a ton of paperwork to fill out. It would be nice to have this paperwork accessible online prior to the appointment as to not have to fill out so much in the waiting room.nnThe hygienist was friendly and seemed to be thorough. He explained the various procedures and answered all of my questions.nnThe dentist, Dr. Young, came in and gave a brief inspection of my teeth, dictating notes to the hygienist on areas of concern, but made no comment on the teeth that the hygienist had commented may problematic. He only stayed for about three minutes and did not ask if I had questions.nnUpon leaving, the receptionist said that she'd received a fax from my dental insurance stating they are not an in-network provider, in spite of me previously seeing them being listed as in-network on my insurance's website. She said she'd try to sort it out and give me a call, but I didn't hear back yet. (To be fair, it's only been a day.)nnOverall, I'm not overly pleased with the service offered here, as I didn't get a sense that all members of the team truly care about my health, but perhaps they were just having an off day.

Dental Care at Pleasant Hill is a very professional office. Staff is very friendly and the office is clean. Even though I am scared of dentists, the dentist and office staff try to make you comfortable. I highly recommend this office. Keep up the good work.

In the past 2-3 years I have had 3 different dentist. That’s not necessarily the issue but the newest staff seemed a bit careless in my opinion. They didn’t seem on the same page when it came to different notes and procedures. I was supposed to receive a referral for my wisdom teeth that I never received. Lastly my bill was $375 for my 6months cleaning including a fluoride treatment and cancer screening with a single filling completed. This seemed a little high considering I have insurance. I may be looking into another office in the future.

Great experience, staff is friendly and professional. Was given good explanations about my treatment and really appreciated the chance to ask question about the diagnosis!nAbsolutely recommend this practice!

This was our first visit. Everyone was wonderful. Savannah was my hygienist. Dr. Young was very nice. We'll be back for our 6 month check up.
