A fantastic place! Everyone is super friendly & welcoming. The library is totally awesome, hosting all kinds of great guests regularly. Set against beautiful Tryon.
If you think you may wish to join the Lanier Library, a member of the staff will give you a guided tour of the resources--exhaustive periodicals to read on premise, a tremendous selection of CDs that you may take out for TWO WEEKS, new arrivals, reference works, new fiction section, and so on. Lanier Library also has lively special events. Parking behind the library is only a few minute walk (steps) or spaces are usually available across Melrose Avenue. Books may be returned without leaving your car.The staff is friendly and helpful with your special needs and it is all on one compact level. The hours are quirky, something you'll have to keep in mind. But, over all, it's no wonder that Lanier Library has been so successful for a century. Dan Trumble
