I have gone to The Exigent for a long time now, and I used to always have a good experience with both the nurses and doctors. I went today with a small issue with an infection and both the nurse and the doctor (who has worked there for quite some time now, and used to be very friendly) were quite rude and short with me. The nurse with red hair is VERY rude by the way. The office staff was still very nice and courteous though. That was the only decent part of my visit.

I’ve gone here since I was a child, this is a place I really trusted. I had to get my appendix taken out when I was around 11 and these were the guys to tell my mom, “hey take her to the er this is what’s going on”.nNow, I’m an adult with bills and school so I went there after the er told me my issue was Minor and not to worry about it. Symptoms got worse and I just wanted answers so I figured I’d stop by the urgent care I’d been going to since I was a child, and if I needed to go back to the er maybe they’d referral me and I’d get in sooner and treated more seriously. I had blood in my bowels, a serious amount and then what felt like a blockage. I was not able to eat for two days prior because then it would cause serious pain, without a doubt I was experiencing level 7 pain with no over exaggerating.nI was then placed in a room where the supervisor nurse came in, small short blonde haired woman, who told me nothing with be in my intestines if I didn’t put it there and we could all stand to go a few days without eating. So I went home and waited a few days before being rushed to the emergency room a second time. I just want to say thank you to that supervisor for telling me I put the cancerous tumor they found in my intestines myself.

Have been going to Wade Hampton Exigent for over 10 years now, although I have a primary care physician Wade Hampton Exigent is my first choice if I need care on the weekends or choose to skip the long wait time for an appointment at my primary. From accidentally stepping on a board of full of nails to a painful kidney stone Dr. Alexander and Dr. Maskell have always provided fantastic effective care and treatment.
