Claremore Drivers License Bureau

Arrived at Claremore location at 8:29. Received a text that I’m A113. Received a text at 10:33 to return to the office A113 will be called soon. The. Received at text at 11:34 stating return to DPS immediately that my ticket A 113 is about to be called. So I go out side to sit next to the door. Less than 30 minutes later they are locking the dooe as they are closed from noon to 1pm. All this time I had been sitting outside for 3 1/2 hours. So I go home which is 2 blocks away. I come back around 2:30 and I have not received a text that it’s my turn. So I go inside to see where they are at with the numbers. The man said they just called A111. So I go back out to the car and wait, wait, wait and it’s about 4:15 and I go to check it out again I can’t tell what number they are on as the numbers are no longer on the screen. So I sit. Then about 15 minutes later the man is opening the door with a garbage bag about to start cleaning up then he says it’s not gonna happen today for me and another person who had A116. This place really is slow and not a friendly environment. I saw 5 employees that were in the office. I can’t say they all were working as the man just sat at a table right near the entrance. One lady was on the phone while the other lady was helping an actual person. I won’t be coming back here. I’m going to Chelsea tomorrow to get my 10 minute thing done.

This place is awful. You look online and there's no real website to look at. We show up the door says no more walk ins and the lady says you have to go to a website and make an appointment. Why is none of that listed online? And then appointments are booked 60 days out?? What a terribly run place. Wouldn't expect anything less from this state though pretty par for the course.....

Pretty much like any other DPS. Get there at 5 am and wait all day hoping to get in. To schedule an appointment is 60 days out.

We moved to Oklahoma from Washington and needed to transfer our licenses and couldn't wait for an appointment through the normal method. Called the Claremore office and they calmed me down and recommended we come in early and be there when they open to do a walk in. We did the next week and were there an hour early. They were gracious, efficient and very understanding and helpful when trying to organize our documentation. It was a wonderful experience with Yada and the other ladies. Thank you all for your help.

Barbara and all her coworkers were so helpful and accommodating, doing all she could to help get my license transferred from out of state!
