Social Security set me an appointment for 1 o'clock. I got there at 12:15 so I could fill out any paperwork. Door was locked and no one answered the phone. No signage indicated that they were gone for lunch. I waited until 1:10 when the receptionist finally answered the phone and said she was at lunch. Went in and was told to sit in the lobby. Sat for 20 minutes while she was on the phone. She had me sign a piece of paper that said I showed up for the exam and said she'd be with me after she finished yet another phone call. She took me back and did an eye exam and put me in a room where she checked my weight. Then I sat in there for over an hour and the doctor never came. I finally got up and walked out. The doctor was sitting in his office reading a newspaper and drinking coffee. I am going to let my attorney know that the doctor never saw me but that I showed up for the exam. Seems to me like they are running Social Security scams or something. I couldn't just sit all day and wait. I had other appointments to get to.
