Dr. Alvis and his staff are nice but the follow through is horrible to say the least!!! I can never get them on the phone and they never know what's going on when I do! They take FOREVER to get anything done or approved and never follow up!!! Dr. Alvis's notes are so vaguely minimal that it has really hurt me in my disability case for my injury that will not ever heal without surgery! Because of their neglect to follow up and get things approved through insurance, I am still suffering with this back injury! A herniated disc is NOT something to ignore!!! Shame on them for not taking their work seriously or thinking about the consequences in their lack of effort for their clients.

Fantastic surgeon. I'm 5 years post l4-l5 fusion, laminectomy and discectomy and Dr. Alvis did great work. I had 0 complications, he was incredibly understanding about the circumstances surrounding my injury and went out of his way to make sure my recovery was minimally painful and successful. Can't recommend him enough!

HOPE YOU DONT NEED MEDICAL RECORDS. Office doesn’t answer the phone or return phone calls. Is locked during business hours. Asks you to allow 8-14 days for medical records. No response either way. Don’t bother going up. No one is there. Is dr going out of business? Or does he know what is going on in his office? Before you hire, know this in advance.

Dr. Alvis did my double lumbar back surgery. He did an amazing job, I am very grateful for his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

20 years old. Went to a appointment with him, told him my pain and he instantly mentioned surgery. Me without a mentor went with his idea of surgery because of the amount of pain I was in, I thought anything could help. Had the surgery, never recommended physical therapy or anything to benefit my recovery. Now 23 and in constant pain down my right and left leg and now is in the middle of my back. Up creek without a paddle now
