Good and Bad -nGood: The park is nice. Well kept, and we saw State Park reps. on a regular basis, so it felt safe.nBad: The RV sites are terribly laid out. Some are right on top of each other. Other nice spots have your RV facing the parking lot instead of the lake. Our water hook up was right outside our front door, in the way of everything.nThere is so much potential here.nI hope they reevaluate their layout soon.

We got there the day after Xmas so we were the only people there except the staff. The area looked clean and well maintained, not a bit of trash anywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

As an avid camper for more than 20 years, I've never experienced this unique situation until this stay at Honeycreek Grove, OK.nnThe issue is the over accessibility to the park's facilities to the general non- paying public. Currently, the park has only opened one of their restrooms. The current system of admission to the park is flawed in that locals and self-proclaimed homeless are frequently using the restroom in the park for dedicated personal use. I have factual knowledge that they're not all paying for such. They're locking the main door to the restroom despite the individual dividers which separate the toilet and shower from the sink and mirror. While in the restroom they're taking lengthy showers (1hr at times) to shave and lotion and apply makeup and smoke and do whatever a man and a woman do in the restroom in the middle of the day. Yes. Couples are doing this as well. We've been here a week. We've seen a dozen different people doing this this week, so it's a chronic issue for the park.nnI don't see it fair that campers paying for what others are allowed to take for free. I, also, don't think it fair that the onsite management team- Linda and her husband are placed in the position to deal with such without support from overhead. Ranger Ralph stated that he's also not the authority figure on the matter.nnSo here are some ideas for resolution.nn1. Install a gate system. Receipt of payment is the admission code to enter the premises. There's plenty of precedent for this.n2. Have lot management check the restroom availability periodically as it's very near the office.n3. Post and enforce hours of lock usage. For instance, lock may be used at dark only and for only 15 mins at a time.n4. Rent-a-key to each paying camper. Deposit for return at check out. Day users can request a key from the office similar to gas station protocol.n5. Have park ranger check the license plates of vehicles in the park especially those parked at the restroom frequently.nnIf anyone actually reads this, please, understand that for a solo mother of 6 to take time out of her evening at a campground to write all of this up... it's an issue that needs addressing.

Had a great time Memorial day weekend. Very sweet host and a lot of friendly people. Enjoyed the pool would have like to have seen a more shallow area for the young kids and babies.
