Durant Animal Hospital

My family and I can't really speak to the prices or the doctor, because we were never even let in. We raise chickens and keep them like pets. My wife and kids love them very much. We woke up this morning to a sick chicken and were referred this place as a veterinarian that sees chickens. We called and were told if we got there in 30 minutes the doctor would still be there and see us. When my wife and daughter got there (within those 30 minutes), the parking lot was full of people waiting. They checked in and when the front office staff finally acknowledged their presence we were told the doctor had left 15 minutes ago and they weren't sure when he would be back. They were told there was nothing they could do. My wife told them our chicken was dying and they laughed. Horrible horrible people. Our chicken died in my daughter's arms, on their front porch, while the office staff was laughing and having a good time inside. We were lied to about the doctor, when they knew we were coming with an emergency situation. And now we've lost a beloved pet. Don't take your animals here.

Best animal hospital in the world with the nicest and most professional doctor available. And did I say most affordable. U can’t find a better place to take your pet . The staff is also professional and very courteous. I love this place they save my puppies life and it was so affordable. ((while the” ft worth animal emergency” 24 hour emergency room in ft worth was milking of all my money and telling me I needed an emergency operation for $7,000 after charging me $4,000 for the three day stay )). I brought my puppy here and the doctor told me she was fine . And nurses my puppy back to Health and she stayed over for over a week in there care and the bill was way under 700 it was like 600 bucks I was so amazed at the price. Please be careful taking ur pets to an 24 hour emergency room clinic they will definitely try to take advantage of u but not here this emergency hospital is the best and so honest with the best and smartest doctor on board !!! ud83dude4fud83dude4fud83dude4f

I don't understand how this vet office has any customers! They over charge and if you go just plan on spending your whole day there. The staff acts like you're a inconvenience in life. They don't take responsibility for the things they do wrong or misdiagnose. The operating room is like a free standing area for customers. Oh and the vet is worried about timing how fast he can get a c-section done. How is timing how fast you can get a c-section done the best interest for my pet?

I have been using Dr. Mills for over nine years. I’m not going to disagree about the front desk. They have a relatively new receptionist and she is rude. I know a lot of the other clients there and they agree. However Dr. Mills does not hire the front desk staff. It is not his fault I don’t believe he knows that this could be a potential problem. Because his prices are budget friendly, this clinic is slammed with clients. They are not the best about calling you back unless it’s an emergency, but I am the type that no news is good news and with this vet hospital this is true. I will say this, Dr. Mills has never failed to promptly call me back when I have an emergency. He always offers to meet me at the clinic no matter the hour, no matter the day. He has a few other vets on staff and in their specialty, They are excellent. I would never hesitate to recommend Dr. Mills, and I do a lot. I overlook the rude new receptionist, and the fact that if you want an update you must call them they are so slammed they literally just don’t have time to hold peoples hands. When it comes to medical help for my animals without having my bill padded or unnecessary tests or unnecessary x-rays done this is where I go regardless of the hour and a half drive. Medically knowledgeable people especially breeders are given the respect that is due their experience. But they are busy and if you want your hand held like you see the vets on animal planet do, stay in the city and pay your high priced vets. The receptionist that also works in the front that has been with Dr. Mills for years is excellent, I just don’t want to call names on a public forum, but she knows who she is she is always courteous to me as is the rest of the staff. If you want excellant care for your animals this is the place.nEDIT: SINCE POSTING THIS, THE OFFICE STAFF HAS CHANGED. 100% IMPROVEMENT.

This place has went downhill. I had plans this weekend, and have a Great Dane which is not easy to get places. We were told 30 minutes and waited 2 hours before finally leaving. And now the phone sounds like it’s off the hook. Fire whoever is working because I already saw another review just like this where you take reviews to heart. Lies, if you did this wouldn’t have happened.
