I did not grow up in the church. There was always something that was missing in my life that I could not feel with things or experiences. Church to me was always a place to me for other people. A few years back my wife said she wanted us to start going to church. She had spent more time in her life in church than I had and wanted to rekindle her walk with God. She searched high and low for the right church, non denominational, Pinicostol, Baptist etc. I was shocked and happy she decided on small Methodist church less than a mile from our home. Calera United Methodist Church was our destination. We walked in on a cold January Sunday morning 3 years ago. Being fairly pessimistic I didn't really have warm and fuzzt feelings walking up to the door. I was oddly nervous but very curious as to what we would experience over the next hour. We opened the door and walked it. We felt welcomed from the moment we entered. No judgement, no comdemnation just family we had not met yet.nnIf you are searching too, this is your place.
