I guess it was cool because there’s a secluded beach area, a shallow cave you can kind of walk into and the park attendant who let us in was SO NICE and mad helpful. Told us which trails to go on and where the best views are. 10/10 to her!nnBut the park itself was a bit underwhelming. Maybe it’s the season change and the trees still being a bit bare or just the area being small and not so varied itself. Had higher expectations based on the wonderful photos we’d seen here and online but it fell a little shortnAlso the beach is pretty tiny!nnTips: Definitely pay for parking online and don’t worry about not having a printer at home, the nice people took our pass even though it was on my phone. Also take the map you get from them because it’s useful. Also aim to get here earlier in the day if you want to have fun on the beach. When we got there a family had squarely situated themselves in the middle of the small beach area so everyone else had to skirt around them or couldn’t sit and chill in the sand

we booked a camping trip for Easter Sunday we arrived Friday night and our plans were to stay until Monday but we just couldn't take it anymore tha park ranger was checking on us every ten minutes we where 5 families 23 total including kids I don't think this is a place for kids because kids want to play an have fun at 10 pm we have to go sleep because some people don't want any noise around so I don't understand what the point of going camping is if you can't enjoy sitting around the fire and have some good laughs we felt like the rangers were just looking for any excuse to run us out of the park.nthe park is beautiful with a lot of trees and clean restrooms the only thing we didn't like is how often rangers were checking up on us as if we were doing something wrong.

Definitely the best trails we have done yet!! Beautiful, serene lake Texoma by your side and a great terrain throughout the trails. Make sure to keep the map they give you at the entrance. Signs on trails are marked with same colors as the color of dotted line on the map!nnBooking ahead online is highly recommended. $5 per adult and children younger than 13 are free to go. Ample parking. Clean restrooms.nnWe drove from Fort Worth and those were the fastest 1 hr 45 minutes because of a beautiful scenic drive, especially on 82 and after. Highly recommended trails and some great water fun! Also, we found the coolest sedimentary rocks there!!

We were laughing with family we haven’t seen for 10 years. I tried to enjoy the time with them but then they just kept on checking us and telling us basically to be quiet in a rude manner. I don’t consider this park a good place to talk and laugh with family then they’ll tell you to be quiet. The only thing I enjoyed was the trails those were fun.
