They never answer the phone and it is like pulling teeth to get your mail delivered timely. They do not communicate when there are issues delivering, you just get it when you get it, even if it is 2 weeks late. When you talk to them they are very unprofessional and rude. I have even been told that it is not their job to deliver packages... uh I’m sorry but that is literally their job! There has also been several issues with missing mail! The absolute worst post office!!!

THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. The employees couldn’t care less and on multiple occasions I’ve seen the carrier on there phone laughing WHILE they have mail boxes open and just taking their sweet time. VERY Unprofessional and when you go in they always have an attitude with doing their job...they need a whole new set of employees

WE LOVE OUR POST OFFICE!nnWe are surprised by the ratings that the Cullowhee Post Office has received and this is part of the reason why we would like to share our own experiences.  Some of the reviews may be more of the Postal System as a whole, perhaps, but our review is more centered on the services that we receive from our local Post Office, the way we are treated when we visit, and especially our interaction with the mail carrier that services our route.nnWe moved to the area in early spring and set up our new mailbox at the entrance of our community.  It just so happened that is also when I met our letter carrier, who welcomed us to the neighborhood and was just a genuinely pleasant person.  In fact, I have interacted with Chris a number of times since and every single time, he has been friendly, accommodating beyond expectations and has provided a level of personal service that has been quite simply remarkable.nnNow... Some context:  This is a rural area and apart from the large distances that need to be covered by our mail carriers to get from one area to the other, the brunt of the deliveries of packages from all sorts of online vendors, especially Amazon, but many others, comes through the USPS.  I have seen Chris on top of Cullowhee Mountain in the morning and then see him drive up again in the afternoon, with deliveries being made well into the evening.  This is the volume of packages this post office deals with on a daily basis.  And unlike more urban environs, where UPS handles virtually all of these deliveries, it is our local mailmen and women who in their smaller vehicles take up this responsibility, in addition to delivering regular mail.nnHaving moved to this slice of paradise that are the Carolina Mountains from a large city, one of our concerns was that we may lack some of the services and conveniences that we have come to expect in a metropolitan setting.  This was completely abated the moment I met Chris and on my very first visits to the Cullowhee Post Office, where I was also treated to a pleasant personal experience by the Postmaster himself, who helped me, of all things, load our heavy new post box that we were about to install in the back of my car :)nnIt is really no wonder why we love our local Post Office.  We are very fortunate that we have been welcomed to the area with such an excellent level of personal service.  This is USPS at its very best, and as far as we are concerned, are grateful for every package they drop off at our box. Thank you for your service!

The guys and gals who work here are really awesome. Between the mail craziness going on and 10k+ college kids going on amazon binges this post office really does a great job of staying orderly and keeping the piece. I've seen lines out the door with people taking carts of 10+ boxes out (no joke) and throughout all of that the employees at this post office still greet you with a smile and give you great service. I've personally had a wonderful time here and I also feel very safe in terms of my personal health. Thank you everybody!!

This place is the worst. They refuse to deliver pretty much any package and then when you go to the office they “can’t find it” or it “hasn’t been processed”. I can’t just leave my job multiple times to get packages, just for them to say “they aren’t available yet”. Lastly, no one answers the phone. I wish amazon would choice a different delivery service because this is ridiculous.
