Love this beautiful trailhead. One of my favorites!
Spacious parking lot for the northernmost completed section of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. Tree farms on both sides of the trail, which makes for great scenery. Benches inscribed with messages from donors to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association. Several drainage pipes passing underneath the trail in places, making for interesting ecology as the drainage creates small ponds. There is at least one footbridge spanning a rapidly flowing brook (see attached video). The trailhead here bears no maps, plaques nor brochures at present.
Big parking area, with captivating panoramas on both sides of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. The trail itself is well-maintained, its grass neatly mowed, and no cracks in the pavement. Along the way are benches imprinted with the names of donors to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association. There are about two footbridges spanning sections over which the trail passes, so hikers can watch brooks cascading down the valley.
Very nice trail to walk.
