Eighteen Ninety Event Space

We just had our wedding at 1890 & absolutely LOVED the space. It was so fun & stress free having a “one stop shop” where the bride & the bridesmaids can get ready in the beautiful Victorian house, while the groom & groomsmen could hang in the boys’ cottage, to the beautiful outdoor ceremony space, cocktail hour space, and gorgeous reception so space. Not having to deal with travel logistics on the day of was a game changer & each space is intentional, functional, and gorgeous!!! We loved the beautiful backdrop that this space provided for all of our pictures. Many guests were in awe of the space & we agree!! Definitely would recommend to friends!

Eighteen Ninety is the BEST venue in the KC metro if you’re looking for a venue that has it ALL! I researched almost 30 venues and the second I toured 1890, I knew I had to get married there. They have a huge bridal house that allow for beautiful pictures, a separate groom’s suite that’s fun for the guys, an outdoor AND indoor space, and an AMAZING team. As a Type A bride, I had so many questions and needed a lot of flexibility from 1890 because of covid-19, and they were so fabulous to work with! They were so accommodating and sweet to me as I stressed so much about having to change our date. You can tell Paula really loves her venue and her brides even more, and Katie was super helpful in making sure all the details were recorded and taken care of. The indoor venue hall is beautifully modern and traditional at the same time, allowing flexibility for your vision. I love all their details - the decorated bar, the fireplace in the wall, the back patio for smokers and a fireplace out there, the outdoor bar that’s perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour - nothing else has blown me away more than 1890. I still have people (almost 6 months after my wedding!) who tell me how amazing my venue was and how much they love it. I don’t regret a SINGLE thing about booking 1890 for the best day of my life, and I will sing their praises forever! If you’re on the fence, book a tour. I PROMISE you will not regret it!

1890 is the best in the games , I have seen a lot of different venues around the KC city area . But with 1890 it’s not all about the money, they love and enjoy what they do . They will make sure they have every detail and more of what you are looking for . Ms. Paula and Katie you guys ROCK .Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart ♥ufe0f.

We just had our daughter’s wedding at this venue and it was remarkable. The owner and the staff really cared about what our vision was and made it happen. We had so many comments from our guests about how beautiful the property was. I have absolutely no problem recommending them to anyone. The property has two different locations that can be used and BOTH are beautiful. There is just no need to shop venues. Eighteen Ninety has everything you want and need for your big day! No regrets and I would book them AGAIN.

While looking for a venue, my now husband and I made a pact that we would complete the entire tour before telling each other our opinions so we wouldn't taint the other's vision. After stepping foot at The Fields, we ruined that pact by looking at each other half way through the tour and nodding yes. Before the left that day, we asked for the contract to sign. It was the perfect mix of already decorated and neutral slate to add in your own touches. We could have done nothing to the space and it would have been perfect. The farmhouse tables are a rarity at most venue which saves on linens, but they do require a Day of Coordinator (we had already budgeted for one). This is necessary due to the fact that there are two venues at the property so the managing staff is between two weddings. Although there are two venues and many times two weddings happening at the same time, they are very separate and it doesn't interfere with your day. I cannot imagine being married anywhere else.
