Just happened upon this treasure! Caught my eye as I was looking for public river access.

This was awesome, I volunteered with my classmates and we had a blast. This history, of the location is not to mention it actually follows the trail of tears is definitely worth stopping in for, I can't wait to go back and experience it with my son.

Currently under construction! I’m the artist. The trail of tears was a devastating time for the natives. Over 4,000 Native Americans died on the trail, 1,500 died in forts, the rest from the move from Georgia to Oklahoma. All my art is volunteer for the healing journeys to the natives. It will represent peace, love, joy and prosperity. Once working on the project I am now understanding Larry’s work and the hard craftsmanship he put forth. Bless Larry, his family, all volunteers, and Marie for the trail. This will be the most beautiful experience you will see when done.

This is a very neat little piece of art! Right on the Trail of Tears and Rt.66..both part of my heritage.
