I have proof, in the form of a paid receipt from the post office, showing proof of mailing. I have proof you have received my payment envelope. I have proof that I have historically paid my taxes on time. Despite this, I have been charged late fees as a result of the collectors office's mistakes. My calls were not returned within the timeframes promised, which lead me to believe trying to resolve this would be a disaster. I couldn't have been more right. My problems were never resolved and I ended up having to pay fees, because, despite being able to prove payment was mailed, mail was received, I couldn't prove what was in the envelope. When asked how I could prove this in the future, as the presented evidence was not enough, I was told that I could never be able to prove this? So, if this happens next year, it will be my fault again. I don't feel like this is a fair or reasonable solution.

Office staff has apparently been told masking is optional during a global pandemic. This is against the CDC guidelines AND the city ordinance. Great job Greene Co!

Went in today to take care of my taxes that was sent to the wrong address. Unlike any other place I have ever known Their fault I pay. They admitted they had made the mistake and entered somehow the wrong address. All the paperwork I have is correct. I showed them and ask them to just drop the extra fees not and taxes I owed. They claimed that there is a law that states they can’t do a simple thing as that. I would like to see that law. I can’t find it. I believe this might be a class action lawsuit. I talked to another person before I left and he said the same thing. They also told me this had nothing to do with COVID. I would like to hear from our Representative and find out why this can happen. I believe the people working are just doing what they are told. But this is not Right!!!!

I spoke to the most wonderful women yesterday who gave me hope that not everyone hates their job! Haha! I think her name was Julie ! She had just gave me the best service I've ever had over the phone! And also went out of her way to send me more information to help me!! Love love love her! She needs a raise!!!
