I didn't give the place 5 stars only because of the lack of social distancing. it was definitely packed in here which I assume is usual in a place where everybody really knows everybody. The lack of masks concerned me as well. As the only black family in the restaurant besides an older black man who was an obvious local I was very intimidated my entire meal by the stares and glares but the young lady who served who reassured me several times that we would be fine. Some of the customers also made me feel moments of ease by acknowledging my twins accompanying me. The food was great and so were the prices. She was very attentive to all the tables equally and I appreciated that.
Excellent food! Best omelette, hash browns, and biscuit I've had in a long time. Love the antique tools on the walls. Good service.nThe place is small and was packed with locals and they all knew each other. Great community feel!nIt's true that there's no social distancing. The sheriff's department even came in and when there was no socially distanced table available, they took the eliminated table behind us. We only saw one other customer with a mask. Some of the staff wore masks. Obviously this didn't stop us from totally enjoying the food and the atmosphere but if you want safety, better to sit outside if it's warm enough or wait a while.
