Jimbo's Bar and Grill

Where do I start. This is a restaurant using college students for staff, the college students are wonderful and very polite. So my comments are not directed toward the kids, it is the adults running this establishment. I will be surprised if this restaurant lasts in Natchitoches. The food is bland, the drinks are poor and the service needs oversight and direction. We had three servers because it was apparent there were no real table assignments and the college students were just trying to help were help was needed. Our order when brought out one hour later was wrong. The lack of attention and quality is no surprise as the owner/head cook seemed more concerned on taking care of her family’s table of eight who got first class treatment with the food never stopping for their table. This restaurant would be a great establishment for Chef’s Ramsay kitchen nightmare or the Bar Rescue show. When our ticket was brought out, our server missed mixed drinks we ordered, likely due to fact we had three servers. This restaurant highlights that it takes a lot to successfully run a restaurant. Jimbo’s is in desperate need of someone to come in and teach them how to cook, how to make drinks, and how to run the floor of a restaurant.

The food was amazing in taste, quality and quantity! The table service was excellent. We did wait quite a while for our food even though there weren't many other people there.

Spent a day in downtown Natchitoches with a bridal party and the bride wanted to eat here. We arrived at 1 o’clock, ordered drinks and got them, and then ordered simple appetizers like cheese sticks, chips and queso, and fried vegetables (pickles, green beans, okra). It took an hour to get them. We ordered food while waiting on appetizers because “they were almost done” but they still took at least another 20 minutes. Four of us ordered burgers and we each asked for them to be well done, when we received our burgers they were pink and definitely not well done. After waiting another hour after appetizers for our food I wasn’t going to wait longer to get my burger cooked more when I asked for it to be well done in the first place! Two of us did not eat the burger patty at all. The onions and tomatoes on my burger were cut way too big and the avocado we requested on two burgers was not put on it either and we had to ask for that to be taken off of our check. Two people in our group ordered Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and after a while waiting on our food we were told they were just waiting on the sandwiches but when they received them the onions and peppers were raw, it was a small piece of meat, and they didn’t like the way it tasted. Our appetizers were better than the meals and we should have just stopped after the appetizers. We had a good waitress and I know the wait was not her fault and was the kitchens even though they did not have many people there at all. The women’s bathroom was gross and needed to be tended to more. I would not recommend this restaurant and next time I visit Natchitoches I will eat somewhere else.

Will not be returning, while waiting in line to be seated, went to get a drink from the bar. The bar tender was sweet and courteous. But noticed there was a vacant table. It was brought to the staffs attention. About 20 minutes later get seated. Everyone placed their orders as usual. About 2 hours or so ,and being reminded, food is brought out. I had ordered a burger, nothing fancy. It arrived cold and without condiments. Another in the party ordered a grilled cheese. Also arrived stone cold. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese from the kids menu, it arrived with bits of tomatoe and some green accidental garnish, cleary not on the menu. SO IN SHORT... OF YOU WANT PISS POUR SERVICE, COLD FOOD AND HAVE 3 HOURS TO KILL ON A QUICK BITE... THIS IS THE SPOT FOR YOU

Me and my fiancé really enjoyed our Brisket Cobb Salads. The food came out about 7 mins after we ordered it. Very fast. We were skeptical because of the reviews, but turns out it was very good.
