It is a very welcoming community, I joined the church in 2011. About one year after arriving in New Orleans. I had always been a member of a large congregation and just attended services. At Community Church I wanted to do more, I joined the choir and I am currently the president of the board. The construction on the street in front of the church makes it a bit more difficult to get there but I believe that you will be glad that you made the effort.

I love this Church, it stimulates me to explore my own ideas and my own heart, and supports me in writing my own theology. I am free to find what actually makes sense to me, using my god-given intellectual and perception skills. At the same time, this Church calls me to ethical living and spiritual growth, which gives new purposes to daily pursuits. This church defends my/your rights to have my own ideas and beliefs while reasoning with us to ensure we have thought through our positions well.
