Gretna police officers are very racist and unprofessional. If you’re not white they show you very little respect as human beings, and their suppose to serve and protect which they do serve and protect, just not people of color. I wish I could do a review without stars because they don’t deserve the one I gave. Gretna has been like this for decades and will continue. It’s really sad!!, I hope that these officers change for the better. Working tax paying citizens deserve to feel safe especially when the police are around.

I called the police station to make a report of a sketchy situation I witnessed involving a small child and a scary man. I believe this was a sex trafficking situation. The incompetent and clueless person I talked to proceeded to tell me that they don’t take police reports over the phone. This was a couple weeks ago. I was disgusted that she wouldn’t at least write the information down or something.nnI called the sheriffs office and they took the report.

most rasis police ever stoped for no reason ,police man talks with an attitude ,thinks i had no papers when i showed him that i served in iraq in the army he didnt know how to act..really feel sorry by the way they be trained thats not the peaceful way to talk to citizens or anybody ,after checking my name comes back and gives me a ticket for not having my license on me although i gave him my state ID ..hope my message reaches someone in the department because thats not the message or way to to give a repetition of force arms
