The best experience I've ever had at a DMV.nMy son needed a learner's permit. We went online and made an appointment, then showed up at the appointed time, and everything went smoothly.nIn and out in half an hour.nWhy don't all DMV's do it this way?
This dmv office definitely deserves more than what people are rating it. The service has been great, every time I have been there. It has been clean, calm and organized. The employees are down to earth, and always busy working. It may be small but it is very effective.nThis place is awesome, and gets me in and out swiftly.
I wish I could give NO STARS. This location could be better if its employees spent less time socializing and more time working. They move entirely too slow, unnecessarily slow!!!! You can sometimes hear conversations that have nothing to do with DMV business amongst the staff. Furthermore, I witnessed someone come in without a ticket and finesse his way into a chair by flirting with one of the female employees. Unacceptable!!! The music they played on the radio was too loud; they had to be asked to turn it down. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional staff!!! Something must be changed; either hire a new staff or provide new training for the current staff.
They never answer the phone they always hanging up on you
I waited not even 2 hours to get seen by someone. They're fast and friendly here!nI spent over 6 hrs at the Metairie location (Pontchartrain Blvd) just the other day for them to tell me that the system went down. Never again. The Chalmette location is the way to go!
