The best bar food and a great staff. This place is a must for saints games. Parking can be a bit tricky but absolutely worth it. The calzone and wings were legit. Great prices as well.
I loooove Pirogue's! The bartenders are fabulous. The space is amazing and welcoming. Then there's a great outside area. Expansive and comfortable. Just down St. Claude in Arabi. From much of the same team that brought you Lost Love Lounge. Their kitchen rawks too.
When I went to New Orleans I found this little gem not too far from where I was staying. It's not very big but very friendly, nicely decorated with tones of character. I would definitely recommend if your passing by.
They're BAAACK!nMissed my neighborhood watering hole during the shutdown.nnI did occasionally grab takeout (Calzone with white sauce) and a few beers to go...nnBut today I was able to sit inside (with appropriate social distancing) enjoy a beer and the Irish nachos ... Imagine queso Blanco, jalapenos black bean sauce all the other good stuff that makes nachos great but with waffle (or shoestring) fries!!. And add beef or chicken if you want.nnNow I'm waiting for trivia night to come back.
