Copeland's of New Orleans

Our waiter visited our table twice without wearing a mask. Once I mentioned it, he promptly pulled it up over his nose. Food was terrible, but again we mentioned and a fresh delicious plate was brought out. Overall, good atmosphere and delicious cheesecake for dessert!

It was a pleasant night so we thought we'd sit on the patio. That's about the only thing pleasant about the experience. There was only one waiter for the patio. That was no big deal because there were only 6 tables and they were almost done their meals. The entire restaurant wasn't very busy because it was 8pm. It still took 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 15 minutes for them to arrive. The waiter took the order. It was 45 minutes later that the food showed up. In the meantime, I watched 9 staff members, including 3 kitchen staff smoking just off of the patio area. The smoking didn't bother me as much as if the staff was cooking the food might not have taken so long to come out. The only real bright spot was that during the meal the manager came by to check on us. The food was decent so we didn't say anything at the time. That's the only reason they got a 1 star rating. Otherwise, had it been possible, they would have received zero. We asked for refills. They never came. One staff member was on her phone 3 different times. Two of these times, she looked right at me and put her phone away. The other time she turned around went the other way. I think by the way she acted, that there is a no cell phone policy there. Oh well. Finally, our waiter came back after we sat there for 20 minutes after finishing our food. We asked for a to-go box and a desert menu. Once he brought the menu, we waited yet again. After taking that order we didn't see another staff on the patio for 10 minutes. The waiter came back with another staff member to let us know that they were out of our choices. That happens and we chose something different. Thirty minutes later, desert shows up. Wouldn't you know it, we ordered cheesecake, however, one was ice cream. It got eaten only because I didn't want to get into it. The check came another 13 minutes after that. The waiter never came back. I went inside to see if I could pay anybody. I stood there for a couple of minutes while I watched 4 staff going back to the smoking section. The waiter finally saw me and checked me out. Yes I gave him a tip. Only because I know how little waitstaff make. It was more than 10%. However, good service usually earns 30% from me. As I was leaving, one other staff asked if everything was ok. I told her no. Thank you for asking but I don't think you could fix this now. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

So glad we made the drive to visit from TN! Everything we had was delicious. Service was great even though it was crazy busy! We did have to wait for a little while for a table, so prepare for that.

I was very disappointed with the food tonight. My niece had a birthday gathering there tonight and I was disgusted. After we placed our order for the food, we were informed 20 minutes later the grease was burnt and no fried food was available. Only hamburgers and grilled food were available. I ordered a hamburger along with my nephews and the burgers were small and disgusting. I will not be going back there!!! They actually should have gave everyone in my party a refund. Our waitress did apologize and seemed really nice about the situation.

The food was delicious. Our server got lost apparently and we had to ask for her to come take our order. Then she forgot our drink order and it didnt come until we asked for it AFTER we received our food. She blamed it on the bartender. But the table next to ours got theirs in a timely manner with a different server. We had alcoholic beverages and they were kind of weak. Lol. I've had much better at a restaurant.
