It is Thomasville's local bookstore. Friendly staff and it smells of BOOKS! Always worth the visit when down town.

I've been in independent bookstores that have a larger selection, but thats kind of what makes Bookshelf cool - it feels curated. Probably 10 or so shelf plus a magazine rack. Like any good bookstore it really seems to serve the Thomasville community. The owners do a neat little podcast too. Plus, they have done a really good job on managing covid w/ browse by appointment, limits on how many folks can be in the store, and having you put anything you touch in a basket so they can sterilize what you don't purchase. Not sure how much of that they are still doing, but they definitely take covid seriously. If you are in Thomasville or Tallahassee check them out.

Compared with other bookstores that I've experienced, the Bookshelf tends to be a smaller space that caters more toward branding/aesthetics rather than to filling the space with a wider selection of books. If one is not opposed to second-hand shopping, the same books are available for much lower prices elsewhere.

I love The Bookshelf! It has an extremely cozy feel and everyone who works there has always been helpful and knowledgeable. They have wonderful selections for a multitude of genres and an adorable kids section.
