I have seen this little bakery shop for years and finally stopped by to step back in time. Mrs. Backer’s Bakery Shop didn’t disappoint. The friendly staff gushed about how cute my granddaughter was and so I knew we were off to a great start. I choose 1/2 dozen cookies,per their recommendation, and I was very pleased! (You can see the bakery across the street.)
This place is quaint with an old fashioned vibe. It could maybe use a little face lift to keep the old look, but freshen it up a little:) but we enjoyed our visit!
Do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it.
Are you going to waste your life away pushing a coffin sized cart at Costco every time you want to serve desert or are you going to have one of the last retail pleasures left? Mrs. Backers represents what little is left of the best. Ask for Franny. She’ll talk to the baker about that cake your mom made. Taste the love.
I went with my niece and her daughter . We picked molasses cookies melt a ways , pumpkin cupcakes chocochip cookies, coconut macaroons. 2 black fans from Halloween sale. What a fun STORE . ITS A BEAUTIFUL and fun place to visit.
A cute little bakery with some tasty Mexican Wedding cookies! I thought the prices were reasonable; the only reason I didn't give a 5th star is because I thought their selection would be larger, but overall they have a lot to offer- I'm just picky! :)
