I'm quite dismayed after driving 20 minutes to the town hall, arriving at 4:00 on Friday afternoon to purchase our beach pass. Though they are open until 4:30, which I checked on the web before leaving, they refused to issue a beach pass beyond 4:00 because they had too much to do before closing. This was not posted on the web. IT's fourth of July weekend and they are fully aware that our Mashpee residents are planning to visit the town beach. Three people came in after me, also dismayed that they could not be issued a pass. I'm a teacher and no matter how much work is on my desk, I remain at school with my door open all students who need me are seen.
