I've been dealing with a cycle of achilles issues over several years, and when I finally decided to turn to Dr. Balmes, my spouse had learned about him through the Phidippides running store. With his expertise and my inquisitiveness, I went through his program and got evaluated to be better advised on approaching my goal to eventually return to running. I'm currently focused on the cycling discipline so I've been making the progress slowly with a focus on seeing that the achilles issue doesn't return through hiking and long walks. Aside from going through physical therapy, I enjoyed having conversations on biomechanics and the inner workings of the approach of treatment. There's a lot of information on the internet so having it deciphered and filtered was great. He explains the concepts and biomechanics very well. While time will tell if I make a full return to running, I've definitely been noticing improvements from where I was before going into PT.

When you hurt your back to the point that you can barely move, who should you go to?? Dr. Edward Kim of Endvr health. Dr. Kim is attentive, professional, and passionate about restoring full function of your injury. He used various techniques of therapy in our sessions, including cupping, dry needling, and of course stretching and strengthening exercises. I learned new stretches and exercises that affected muscles I didn’t know existed until the injury.nDr. Kim always took his time in every session to explain the mechanics and benefits of the treatments. He gave me “exercise homework” to do at home that I could incorporate with normal everyday activities, which was great given that who has time to do all of that stuff with four kids?! He would also periodically follow up with me during the week to check on my condition. That’s called going above and beyond.nEndvr health with Dr. Kim is the way to go! Plus he’s a nice guy and very easy to talk to, which is a definite perk when you’re stuck one on one with someone for an hour a couple of times a week.

Awesome practice! I was able to see both Dr Balmes and Dr Kim for separate injuries. They took the time to explain what was going on with my conditions and how to set realistic expectations for recovery. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Balmes was able to help me recover from a pinched nerve in my right shoulder blade. It prevented me from doing my daily activities without extreme pain even at a relaxed state. I consulted with him even though he was located in a different state, he was able to FaceTime while I showed him what area was affected and how it limited me on movement .nHe recommended a few exercises to help with the movement and improve the muscle and nerve within the affected area. Within three weeks of doing the exercises he recommended, I saw a significant improvement with the pain .I was also getting my strength back up. Although it's not up to the ideal strength before I had my injury, I'm definitely getting stronger and working my way back up. Thank you Dr. Ryan Balmes

I had a complete ACL tear and reconstruction. After going to the ortho prescribed physio located in the same office for a handful of visits I knew their standards for physical therapy and rehab were lower than my own. Ryan got me back to the sports I like faster, and with more knowledge and attention than I ever got at the other PT. I learned a lot from him as well, which has helped me mitigate future injuries. He's an absolute pleasure to work with, and passionate about helping you get back to what you love doing. I highly recommend him.
