If they would pick up the phone and answer quick questions, they could save people from driving to the post office to wait in line for nothing during a pandemic. I had three small packages out for delivery yesterday. At the end of the day, they still weren’t delivered, and the tracking said ready for pickup at the post office. This morning, I called to confirm I should go there, and the phone just rang and rang. Finally, it sounded like someone picked up the phone, sighed and hung up on me without saying anything. Thus, I drove there to wait in line. The first guy doesn’t know how to answer questions about packages, so then I was placed in another line for the woman who can answer questions. She tells me right away that the packages will be out for delivery again today. If they had just picked up the phone, they could have resolved that and I wouldn’t have wasted an hour of my life. OR better yet, perhaps the tracking could work and not tell you to pick up your packages when you should not pick up your packages.

There seems to be a trend the past few weeks with usps saying they could not deliver mail because the driveway/mailbox is blocked. I live in Windsor forest and my mailbox and driveway are never blocked. I also seem to get these attempt notifications every time around 7:30 pm which is probably the end of a drivers shift so they just put that down instead of trying to deliver. I hate to rate them this low because for years my postman has been awesome even waiting while I put my dogs up to answer the door but the past few weeks have been terrible. I hope the usual driver is doing well and didn’t get replaced by someone who seems to hate their job.
The women that work the counter at this location are so rudeeee. They are rude to everyone even elders. I use this post office often and wait to receive services from one of the men that work there. I’m contacting corporate as well after I heard the way she was speaking to an older man that was simply trying to get information about services. Everyone in the space noticed.
Astonishingly terrible service. They must hide the phone so they don't have to bother answering it. Looking at the reviews, it's sad that this location has continued to be a horrendous experience. Just moved to this location and unfortunately, the mail system in Savannah is as terrible as the people who run it and if they don't enjoy their jobs, then no one will get helped or get their mail. How sad.
