If you work, live, or play close by, don't like crowded gyms or classes, and like to work out on your own this is the place to join. Super low key with a friendly staff to boot. You can also get your hair cut or eye brows done too. My only non-star knock off us that I was they had a "ski-erg machine" and a bear trap dead lift bar.

The Gateway used to be a very popular destination and it made sense for a nice gym and spa. Now the mall is always completely deserted and this gym is not the same. It has made many cuts in amenities in the locker room and it is hard to even find water now. It has very nice equipment and the staff is usually very friendly. It just is not the same as when it was a place that was actually fun to go to. It seems like the location is more of a burden than other gyms as parking can be difficult since it is underground and can be difficult to park quickly. Another odd thing is that since the City Creek Mall is closed on Sunday's, the members of the gym there are given passes to work out here which makes what would be a quiet gym day the most busy out of the entire week. I have always enjoyed this gym and it is far and away better than any 24 hour fitness or Vasa Fitness. I find myself complaining about things here and there until I step inside a 24 hour fitness. If you live in an area close to the Gateway then this is by far the best gym still.

When I joined this gym they had a class schedule which was included in the set price. One week later the instructor quit. So I've been waiting for them to get a new teacher while enjoying the semi decent facilities. The changing rooms are quite clean and the available blow drying is handy. The gym area is decent although there are multiple broken mirrors and a pipe that seems to be leaking on a wall causing a stain. But not bad for the 69$ I pay for a couples membership... just waiting on some instructor again. Well today I finally called to see if I could get a strait forward answer on when they will get a new instructor since it's quite expensive considering without one. I was told they will not be hiring one as not enough people attended the classes. Also that if they do it will have to be part of a package and I will have to pay for that even though when I bought the membership 3 months ago the classes were clearly part of the membership. Needless to say I will be in the market for a new gym. It is way to expensive for a mediocre place without any classes.

Best Gym and Salon! Amanda does my hair and she does such and amazing job. I have been seeing her for a couple of years now and she is wonderful. The gym is very clean. I feel so spoiled when I go in. If there are 6 people there that's busy. Everyone is so friendly and nice. I work less than a mile away so it's very easy to get to even for a quick workout during my lunch break. The women's locker room has upscale hair and body products for you to use when you take a shower.
